He was a SON!
He was a HUSBAND!
He was a FATHER!
He was an UNCLE!
He was a GRANDFATHER!
He was a COACH!
HE IS LA SALLE!
On Friday, September 2nd, 2016 Coach Jim Koch was honored at the game vs. East Central. For those of you who don’t know Coach Koch – He coached football at La Salle from 1988 – 2013. Coming from a former student player Tom Doerger – he has said “Coach Koch was a tremendous man with a great big heart! He has been defined of as a Coach that not only cared about the students he taught and coached, but his passion for the kids he coached went way beyond the field and also beyond his years at La Salle. He was also known to take his players home if they need a ride and his lovely wife whom also is dedicated to La Salle would cook/serve meals for the players each week.”
Although he acquired the nickname “Cookie” in high school his name still resides in the memory of everyone’s heart. He leaves his Legacy to one of his grandson’s here at La Salle; AJ Burns, a Junior/Football player (Pictured with his Grandmother- Sue Koch above.) You are a Hero Coach Koch to many and you will be in our hearts FOREVER!
In his memory, we leave you with his favorite prayer – for all the Football Player(s)/Athletes at La Salle – This is for you!
In memory of Coach Jim “Cookie” Koch.
